Message From Mr Vermiglio- Head Teacher
Mr Vermiglio - Headteacher
A warm welcome to the Locking Stumps Community Primary School website. Please learn more about our day to day learning by viewing our X (previously Twitter) Account - @Lockiescps
After spending four fantastic years as the Deputy Headteacher at Locking Stumps, I was appointed Headteacher from September 2017. From the moment I walked into this school, I knew it was a place that I wanted to be. I feel so proud and privileged to be the Headteacher and I am working tirelessly, with an amazing team, to ensure that our school is the best it can be for the children of Locking Stumps.
We have an extremely hardworking team of staff and governors – all of whom go ‘above and beyond’ for our children. We are all enormously proud of our school and of the fantastic relationships we have with each other, the children and the families of our community.
Our school aims are rooted in the celebration of the achievements and talents of all of our children whilst striving for the highest of standards in everything that we do. Engrained within our core values is the belief that our children should be well mannered, proud and aspirational.
In February 2022 our school was judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ . With one visit to our school we are certain that you will feel our caring and inclusive approach, warm relationships and drive to ensuring the highest standards of learning for all of our children.
We have lots of visitors to our school: children, parents, headteachers from the local authority, inspectors and even teachers from other authorities who have heard about the wonderful work that we do. Very often, they say the same thing about our school – our children are well mannered, polite, happy in school and want to learn to the best of their ability - the relationships that exist within the school are strong and vibrant. We are extremely proud of our reputation and aim relentlessly to build on it.
In 2022 we were awareded 'School of the Year' in the Warrington Guardian. We are proud of what we do.
We warmly welcome visitors to our school to take a guided tour from our greatest ambassadors – the children! Should you wish to visit or to discuss any aspect of the education provided at our school, please do not hesitate to contact the school office to arrange an appointment.
We look forward to meeting you.
Mr. Jamie Vermiglio
